Let me quantify "happy with Rotella" a little bit:
'98 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 330k miles. I've never even had a head off of it, still runs fine. I bought the car used with 90k miles on it. It was a lease vehicle that likely had poor maintenance for those first 90k miles.
Multiple Audis with 250k-ish miles with Rotella. Current Stage 3 '01 S4 with 200k miles on it - pretty hard use/abuse.
I use it in everything I own, including a 930 turbo and a Kawasaki sport bike.
I also like the fact that they don't play marketing games with their products. It is, and always has been a 100% synthetic product.
My .02
Dave

Switched over to Rotella T6 for my TDIs a while back, been very happy. Waiting
for the Lubricheck www.lubricheck.com to arrive so I can quantify "happy". TDI
Club forums are littered with "happy with Rotella T6" posts, virtually all
anecdotal.
Rotella T6 is advertised as completely synthetic, isn't M1 now a blend of
synthetic on a dino base? Without empirical data, not sure how big a deal that
is, or even if I'm right...
