Try a longer bolt first. The originals are, IIRC, M6x48 but the threads go deeper (the one on the right is a through-hole). You can get away with M6x55, even M6x60 if you use a thick washer (or a few). Even if there are only a few threads left at the bottom it will hold, just don't go and tighten it to kingdom-come. Nipping it up reasonably tight is good enough.
