[s-cars] Cabin temp sensor fan squeal - what's the fix?

About six months ago there was an e-mail string on this list about
curing the annoying squeal in the aging cabin temp sensor fan.  Can
someone please point me to a good how-to procedure for either fixing
or replacing this fan?  If replacing, please provide the part number
and where I can buy it.  I've searched the web and various tech forums
and I'm coming up empty handed.  Thanks,
