According to the FA, 601-50, the center cap for the Avus wheel is p/n 895 601 165 Z17, for which the snap ring is not listed as a separate part. Dope slap not needed.

World Impex lists the center cap for $45.12, or the same part number as a "special order european part" for $31.05.
