The Phaeton in general is very unreliable and expensive to repair, and
the VW service experience with this orphan car can be frustrating at times.

I'd recommend a low mile 2002-2003 S8, very luxurious, sporty, quick,
sure-footed, and pretty reliable for a late model Audi (until you really
go up in miles and then the trans is suspect) as it doe snot have many
of the things that are repair-prone and expensive on other late model
Audis. Like air suspension, MMI, turbos, etc.
