Not sure if they're still there but Foreign Car Svc by Heinz Kesterman is who I used way back in the day.  I'd check the DC area QW forums for other suggestions.

Hi Y'all,

My son is getting rather severely bent over by a local (to him) 
wrench in the Alexandria, VA, area.  $700+ to replace a serp belt 
plus an idler pulley, for cryin' out loud!

Can anyone recommend a decent, dependable, and honest European car 
wrench in that general area?  Alexandria would be an excellent 
location for him but not too far away would be helpful as well.  He 
drive a little (gasp!) Mercedes 320 SLK and the guy who has been 
doing work for him for a while appears to have gotten greedy when his 
best wrench left his shop a year or so back
