I had a similar problem that turned out to be a bad connection at the MAF.  If you haven't yet, make sure all of your connections are clean and push in on the wires after joining the plug as sometimes the pins can push back and make a weak/non-existent connection.  This happened to me at the CPS connector causing a no start problem and at the MAF causing a rich running condition with a miss at higher loads.
