Yeah and on the C5 I definitely preferred it out - steering was way too 
numb on that car with it in... For some reason I don't mind the S-tronic 
on the UrS as much...

As I remember, might not be necessary to remove the whole panel. I remember peeking in with a flashlight and being able to remove without too much trouble. But it was a good 3 years ago, so that might not be exactly true. Not hard though.
