Could also be the reverse switch in the transmission - a continuity test between switch and bulb would let you know if you had a break - or see if you have voltage at the bulb first. Fuses ok?

Does anyone know why both of my backup lights on a 93 sedan would quit working?  I have not checked the flex wiring at the hinge, but suspect that may be the problem.  This happened to my 4000Q years ago, when the wires started breaking after 100k miles.
