[s-cars] backup lights

On the 016 tranny's (4k) it is above the passenger side drive shaft. You'll see a plug w/2 wires coming from it - 4k also has 2 similar switches, one for center diff lock and 1 for 5th gear - pretty sure the 01E has none of those as the center is torsen and the 5th gear switch was there so that the "shift up" light wouldn't show once in the tallest gear was selected - and there is no such indicator in the S6.

Perhaps someone else has a good idea where it is on the 01E.

Is the switch easily accessible from under the car? Where is it located?

If the switch works like the 4k switches - in Reverse there should be continuity between the 2 poles...

between switch and bulb would let you know if you had a break - or see if you have voltage at the bulb first. Fuses ok?

The switch has been the culprit on the last two S4's I've seen.
