[s-cars] Snow Tire sizing availability difficulties

Hey all,

Winter is here in the Colorado mountains and my several year old snow tires will not suffice for another winter. I seem to be having trouble finding much available in the 225/50/16 size.....the 215/55/16 size has slightly more options, but still way short of what was available even a year or two ago.  I've tried Tire Rack and Discounttiredirect, and the Hankook website as well (have had the IceBear and the Winter I-Pike studded) Anyone have any suggestions on different size possibilities or a source where there are some additional options?  I'm looking for a Severe Winter tire designation.....as much traction as possible.  Never had this problem before.....thanks for any and all suggestions!
