[s-cars] Wot Winter Tires??

There are as many opinions about snow tires (or summer tires) as there are for engine oil and torsens.
Having said that, I passionately prefer Nokians. Pricey yes, but their winter compounds are without peer.
No need for rebuttal. Just my opinion................(probably not actually worth $.02).

Hi Tony,
think it depends on what you're looking for in a snow. I'm running the
eneral Altimax Arctics in the 215/55s that you speak of and they're pretty
ggressive. They're pretty incredible in the snow but are very squirmy in
he dry. IIRC, they're also made in Germany!
ood luck with the search....I think there are some excellent tires out
here to choose from.

i Folks,

It's time for a new set of winter willies for my car. I had Continentals
S790 which have been good to me for the last few years. What winter tires
o we like. Looking at a set of 215/55/16.
I have a set of Dunlop Winter Sport M3s on my Jaguar XJ8 that are quite
ood.

Vulcan Tire have Vredestein Quattrac 3 - anyone using these?

Any other recommendations?

Thanks

Tony
