[s-cars] Ready, Shoot!, Aim (heater flap issue - sunday garage mayday!)

I know it is the central flap motor that is keeping defrost from working on
my car. Verified this with diagnostic mode--feedback values don't change
for the central flap motor.

Amazingly I've gotten through two winters without defrost! Of course, it is
imperative the car spend the night in the garage. As long as I start with a
clear windshield it doesn't fog up. Of course, this also means no feet
heat--just hot air blowing out the dash vents. One of these days I need to
dig in and fix it!

If you had feet heat and could switch between feet and dash vents then it is
the foot/defrost motor you bought; if you were stuck on dash vents only that
it is the central flap motor.

There is a write-up out there somewhere on rejuvenating a stuck flap motor.
Maybe this would also mention how to test a motor with the system in pieces.

I seem to remember also reading that the flap motors themselves are
identical, but the connectors are different for each location. It might be
possible to convert your foot/defrost motor into a central flap motor if you
determine that is indeed the one that failed.

Steve, make sure you let us know how it turns out!
