Although you have dismissed the Boxster I think you need to reconsider it.? 

For the last dozen years my summer car has been a Boxster.? The first 10 were in a 1997 Boxster, the last 2 in a 2000 Boxster S.? You know you will get great handling and an open top in fair weather.? What you may not realize is that you can get golf clubs in the rear trunk of a Boxster.? In the front trunk you can get a 30quart cooler and a folding lawn chair.? As a 30-year P-car pusher I can say the Boxster is the friendliest sportscar that Porsche makes.? For the first 5 years of ownership the Boxster was also my winter car, just put on 4 snow tires and it can go through snow higher that the car's sills. Now my winter car is a 95.5 S6 and my garage queen is a 993tt.
