[s-cars] Security System Disconnect?

Hi all,

The alarm in my 95 S6 Avant has started to go off randomly. It only occurs
when I lock the car, and of course only intermittently (like late at night
when I¹m already in bed, after a day or two of no problems). My neighbors
are unhappy when it goes off, and I¹d like to be able to lock my car again.
I¹ve searched on the Quattroworld URS Faq and lists, with no luck on this.

Question 1: Is there a way I can disconnect the whole security system
(honking horn and blinking lights), while still retaining the locking
system, say yanking a relay or a set of connections? This is my preferred
solution, since I regard the system as close to useless.

Question 2: Are there any things I can check / fix to get it aright, without
taking it to a shop? I have no way to get to the OBD myself. I¹ve checked
all of the door light switches; they work properly. I can¹t find the switch
for the tailgate, or for the hood (if there is one).
