[s-cars] Security System Disconnect?

If I recall correctly, the alarm portion is integrated in with the central
locking pump down around the battery/under the rear seat. So you can't
easily separate one from the other. Replacement pump/control unit is the
usual fix. However, if it's not draining your battery and you just want to
mute the dang thing (doubt neighbors will notice flashing parking lights),
go into the left side storage compartment and disconnect the alarm horn.
It's mounted above and forward of the opening on some sheet metal bracing.
It's sandwiched between that bracing and the left rear quarter panel, held
in by a single 10mm bolt iirc if you want to remove it altogether.

The alarm module and the lock control module are connected, but independent.
The alarm module should be on the passenger side under the rear seat.
However, I'm not sure what happens when you unplug it- I'd hope it was
designed such that it can be disconnected without disabling the car, but it
should be easy enough to find out.
