Yeah - I really struggle with the idea of "have winter tires but also 
run A-S as summers".  That's adding work (changing tires) for negative 
benefits.

I'd either go w/ A/S all the time (well I wouldn't but I can see the 
logic for some people), and accept compromises for convenience (and yeah 
this year excepted in MA we can clearly survive w/ decent A/S), OR,
Get yourself real decent summers and enjoy the benefits of much better 
winter and summer driving.

For decent A/S I like the Pilot A/S, and also the DWS (yeah they aren't 
great summers but if you have to be "A/S" I guess that's what compromise 
is about).

I do really like the DW's (NOT DWS) for summer tires and run them on 2 
cars (not the S6) but I know the size availability might not be there if 
you are still on OEM 16" sizes...
