[s-cars] Sputter, No Boost, Stall, No Start......

IMO, the coil idea is wasted troubleshooting time. POS or coil, you're going to drop one cylinder... but the car will still run, and also idle.

It's a good thought, Jim as there is a certain level of power that the FI system
needs to operate properly.

Measure voltage across the jumper connections under the hood with the car
idling. Should be 13.5-14.5 volts for a healthy charging system. If less than 13
I'd be concerned.

But ignition coils/POS failure is a good idea. As is a boost leak. I'd pull the
injector connectors one at a time at idle to see if it makes a change. Healthy
cylinders with no apparent misfire will change the idle smoothness. A misfiring
cylinder will cause NO change when the connector is removed.

days this winter.....it would fire right up with a jump pack and be good as long
as I drove the car everyday, but I'm wondering if there is enough juice in it to
fire up the ignition system and keep it running properly? My voltmeter readings
are good when the car is running, just no holding of a charge and some boost
issues when into the throttle getting worse lately before this episode
yesterday.....
