If it's really, really cold where you are - possible the fuel lines froze?

I would really make sure it is the pump by checking for pressure in the engine compartment... at the fuel rail or filter.

By your description, it almost sounds like a failed intake hose to me.

So, I think it's the fuel pump…  but want some opinions.

Wife was driving car, it was running but when she would rev and let out the clutch it would die.  Acting like no power, by the time I got to her it wouldn't even start.

My thoughts.  Fuel pump low pressure, hence the dying when it needed more fuel.  
Then dead dead, no fuel no start.  Haven't had time yet to diagnose further.

Anyone?
