[s-cars] Next car. Where to go from URS4?

I went a completely different route- there was nothing until the most
recent Audi models that really interest me (the B8 S4 is quite nice).

My DD is a Volvo V70R. I have a bunch of fun cars now, so the Volvo fits
the comfortable, quiet daily driver role and although the AWD system
is nothing like a quattro, it works acceptably with good snow tires. When I
want to drive something a lot sportier, I'll take out one of the "fun" cars.

I do most of the work on the Volvo- there is a clone of the Volvo
diagnostic hardware and software available for not too much money (around
$175), so
diagnostics are not impossible, although I don't have it. That said, basic
service is all done by me- I let the dealer do the control arms because it
needed
new bushings, it was at the dealership for inspection and the labor-only
rate wasn't exorbitant, especially considering the cost of alignment with
the service.

I replaced the shocks myself, which was a pretty big job. Swaybar endlinks
was pretty trivial, as were brake rotors and pads.

If I were to stick with Audi only, I'd go for a supercharged B8 S4 if it
fit in the budget. Other contenders would be the C6 S6 (if you can afford
to put gas
in that thirsty V10), the D3 S8 (again, thirsty) and the S5.
