Damn Keith. That really sucks. Glad you and the other "driver " are both OK.
RIP to both Bill and the S6. I never met Bill but I know the S-car world
definitely suffered a loss when he passed..

Subject: [s-cars] Totaled the S6 on Thursday

Hi All-

20 mph in downtown St. Albans, VT, guy coming the other direction turns
left 10 feet in front of me. The collision was almost instantaneous. He
was in a little Scion. Nice kid, 20 years old, a former Marine, or maybe
not even former. But seems like he'd been injured as he was walking with a
cane. He was real shaken up, not sure why he tried to turn right then.
His airbag went off. He was real shaky and depressed about it. But no
injuries whatsoever to either of us. Car protected me beautifully. But
I'm pretty sure it's totaled. It was a very sad day. For those of you who
knew him, this was Bill Perron's car. Bill had installed the custom red
digital boost gauge in one of the dummy buttons next to the fog light and
hazard switch. Had the big red brake conversion. Great shape overall.
It's a real loss. Anyway, somehow, I though I should let people know.

Bill's brother Mike (who owned and drove the car for a couple of years
after Bill was killed) is putting an AAN in the Coupe he just bought, so he
has spoken for whatever I'm going to be able to salvage--depending on the
buyback cost from insurance co. But I imagine there may be leftover
parts. Stay tuned maybe.

Anyway, RIP to a great car. And again, so fortunate there were no injuries.

Keith
