The b6-7 s4's are plagued with a Byzantine firewall mounted timing chain.  It needs to be proactively replaced and the parts cost alone is $4500!  

No warning before a guide or tensioner breaks and if one does, say bye bye to the motor.  Audi is no longer selling new crate motors, even when they did they were outrageously expensive.

All of this lead me to sell mine...
