[s-cars] Question for any New Yorkers ....

I'm the  wife of one of your audi club group.  I'm trying to help out 
with getting some information.  If anyone can help with this question 
would greatly appreciate.

We live in PA and looking to buy a vehicle (2007 Touareg if your 
interested in knowing) from a dealer in NY (Long Island).

Here's our question.  The dealer is driving the vehicle to us for 
purchase and to complete paperwork.  We sold our other car and plan to 
use the plates from that one on to the Touareg.    We thought all the 
dealer would need to do is drive it to us with their dealer plates, but 
they are saying they need transit plates & temp tags.  But, we would not 
have bought the vehicle at that point.  We reserved the option to test 
drive first, make sure all financing is correct before we sign a bill of 
sale.  After they have driven it to PA.

Anyone out there in Audi land have anything to share?
