Hey all,
Looking for some new summer tread and am finding a lot of options with a '92' load rating. The current summer tread I am replacing is a '96' load rating....and there are fewer options with that rating. I'm wondering if I need that additional weight capacity with a stock '95 s6 avant. Also looking for some advice regarding tread.....I live in the Colorado mountains and have dedicated studded snows for winter, but we will get some heavy wet snow through May and into June occasionally....along with 70-80 degree temps in between. Frozen precip can start up again in September. My last tire was a summer only tread that was downright dangerous with any kind of frozen precip or slush....I've noticed that there are some "high performance" all seasons out there now that "may" be appropriate for my needs. I've always stayed away from the all-seasons for obvious reasons, but my spring and fall seasons bring lots of variable weather. Car spends lots of time on the highway above posted legal speeds (which in CO is 75,) has stock suspension and a mild ECU reprogram....
Thoughts? Thanks!
