Hi Peter,
Thanks for this. I already have new fuel lines and brake cables in place. I
was going to ask the group what else needs replacing whilst it's in bits. I
was thinking rear control arms. What about others - rear bushings etc.
Cheers,
Tony

Tony:
Not sure where you are located, but removing the gas tank involves dropping
the entire rear subframe. ( including differential, control arms & brakes &
rear struts), disconnecting driveshaft.
you may then find that you also need to replace the brake hard lines in the
rear and the fuel lines.

Thanks Peter,
If I can get a used one my local shop have advised they can put through a
"rehabilitation" process which puts on a layer of epoxy.
Cheers,
Tony

I removed a tank from a UrS4 that I was parting, emptied it and dried it
out, brought it to the local radiator shop.
There, it was sandblasted, sealed, undercoated and pressure tested.
I think it cost me about $250.
The challenge with buying used is that you still might end up with a
marginal tank.

Hi all,
Just wondering if there is a source for gas tanks out there - Google
searches are not turning up much.
Cheers,
