[s-cars] Sparkplug thread-fixer snafu

I attempted to replace the plug's on the Mrs' Avant.
I noticed that #3 looked a bit different that the other plugs, namely because the thread fixer came out of the head with the spark plug.
At the time I thought the the thread fixer might be a timesert.

Because I could not remove the plug from the thread fixer, I just replaced the others and decided to let my mechanic take a crack at it. - with the following outcome.

Its not a timesert, and its SAE thread on the outside. There would be insufficient material left on the head if he would have tried to rethread it for the correct size timesert that also worked with the stock spark plug thread.

So….I'm in a quandry - I can't rethread the head because the timeserts only come in one thickness ) i.e., can't go to a larger outside diameter and still fit a standard plug.
So option 2 is to try to identify the thread fixer, force a new plug into it and use that.

Ideas?
