Congrats Jeff! Glad to hear you got it fixed and you didn't freeze your
fingers doing it! Got frost on the inside of the windows here this morning -
it's a bit nippy out there!

6:30AM report from 'Southern Boy" (thanks Fred) - I beat the cold front!
thanks for the assist boyz
My primary problem turned out to be the MAF.
Thanks to DaveF QW writeup on the MAF female connector pins pushing back and
JohnC mentioning MAF in an email to me.. they drew my attention to the MAF.
Whereas I did not have that connector issue, I used a heat gun on the MAF to
effect the running engine behavior. Bopped it with a screw driver
and wow, look at that effect. And thanks to a handy Red S4 Parts car, I
swapped the entire MAF/Air box and BOOM!
Fixed. Just like that.
In the course of all this, I found a sketchy 034 Coil pack too, so replaced
that.
Now with all my new parts, (fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel regulator etc.,
plugs, etc) . I should be good to go, until the NEXT time it twists my
nipples..
It was cool to correspond with ya' all,
If anyone has a MAF for sale, I want one in the parts bin LMK
