CL tries hard to isolate sellers from the flood of spam that exploits  
any bit of personal information gleaned from the sites.  Contact with  
potential buyers is easy enough without inviting scammers with contact  
information that will probably result in  much more personal  
information being divulged.  The end result could be uninvited  
individuals showing up at his doorstep "to look at the car".  This  
could continue long after the vehicle is sold.  You can fill in the  
rest.
