[s-cars] UrS Front Bumper Re-Do

Brian, the difficult part has always been that the URS4 and URS6 have different bumpers (cosmetically, not functionally). The UrS4 has the black rubber rub strip, while the UrS6 does not. That is why LLTEK decided to make a front bumper add on to the exist one. Not the ideal, but it allowed to address both types with a styling change. I have no doubt a truly nice reproduction could be made for the UrS6, but not so easy for the UrS4 unless changing the black rub strips all the way around.
Thoughts?
Cheers, /James

Subject: [s-cars] UrS Front Bumper Re-Do
I've been noodling on this for quite some time and feel that it's my duty to all you nutcases to see if you wanna make this a reality.
Reason: I have always felt that Audi missed this one. The OE bumper does not befit the animal that lurks beneath it. Yeah it's got flared front fenders, woo hooo.. but THAT's it. Our cars are aging and parts are NLA but this is one part that would truly give it what it deserves, that subtle, sporty look in addition to being functional.
Mission: To make an OE UrS Front bumper that mimics an S2 bumper, read lower lip spoiler maintaining the black lower portion to flow with the rest of the car. Again, subtle and you don't have to paint the rest of the lower part of the car.
How: I have a friend who worked for Champion Motorsport on the S4 Touring Car, Rs6 Race car. Then Volvo's S60R Race car, and Mazda's ALMS car, then on to Dodge Motorsports, as well as consulting other race teams. He has his own company that has Reverse Modeling and 3D Laser Scanning capabilities. With that, he has the all the resources and vendors to DO IT!
Reality: A used/reconditioned (since NLA new) bumper cost is $600/$800...Just saw one on QW for $1600....
Ball park, like Superdome sized, cost would be at least $1500 for 10 units. This is only a feeler to see if that works.
20 units? $1100? Less? Dunno.. This includes original modeling, tooling, and production. I'm looking at upfront cost of $2000 for modeling.
Function Dream: This would be an OE quality piece, same materials except, and this is important, it would fit the biggest FMIC you could throw at it, oil cooler, tranny cooler and brake ducting for all you Nutcase ++'s.
So, how many of you nutcases would wanna see this happen so your Quattrobitch can git sum sexy attitude???
95 90 Project when?
95 S6 Avant 1sicwgn
93 S4 Edwin - ...gone but not forgotten...
