[s-cars] Are Front and Rear Wheel Bearings the Same?

Apologies in advance as this does not add any facts to the discussion - only hearsay.

About five years ago, I was told by a parts supplier that front and rear bearings were identical. I bought four kits, did the fronts, the noise went away so I never bothered doing the rears. Still have two kits knocking about somewhere - will never use them now as I have switched allegiance to B7 chassis cars!
