[s-cars] Intermittent stall

One more thing to check. Sometimes the ignition wires fray as they pass into the coil tree. They can randomly short out based on engine vibration (which caused it in the first place).

That said, I never had a complete stall at idle (that I recall) but I had a nasty 'hiccup' where my car would cut off for a split second and then be back running the next while driving. A lister was kind enough to loan me an ECU to swap in and sure enough that cured the issue. What I recall is that the ignition driver chips are failing and the cause. Steve Eiche has the lowdown but unfortunately there isn't a replacement chip out there. If I were you I'd see if you can do the same with a known-good ECU. I did a whole lot of part swapping/replacing, only to find the ECU was the cause.
