[s-cars] Hydraulic "J"Hose Question

Hi all,

 

I have a leak in the power steering hydraulic "J" hose(4A0 612 065)!!! I
understand that these may be NLA in NA and so looking to implement a fix.
>From searching the VAG forums there is mention of a restrictor in the hose
to limit flow as speed goes up.

 

Question is, can someone advise where this restrictor is located? My leak
appears to be at the top "bite-to-wire" fitting so wondering if I can build
my own fitting from his point to the banjo bolt on the pump.
