[s-cars] Strange battery drain, seems AC fan is kicking on intermittently while car is off

There is a problem with the after run circuit that has plagued many owners. The relay behind the passenger kick panel (324 electronic module) activates
the electric cooling pump and the fan on low speed when the coolant temp reaches the threshold temp after shutdown (110ºC IIRC). There is a delay before it starts so most drivers are away from the vehicle before it starts. It runs for 10 min or until the temp drops to 97ºC if the module is operating properly. If not, the fan and pump continue to run as long as there is sufficient battery power. Other details of the after run system are contained in the FAQ section of the Quattroworld forum for these vehicles.

You did not completely describe events leading up to your fan starting up or whether it continued to run until the battery was depleted, so I have included a link to the FAQ section for more information.

> I have a slot battery drain. The other day I was working in the garage and noticed the AC fan kick on when the car was just sitting. I wonder if anyone has ever troubleshot this? For a few years, the battery would die if you let the car sit for more than a week, and I suspect this is probably the culprit. As long as it’s driven every few days, it’s fine.
