I have had a manual '01 for about 4 years now. Great car even if the
suspension can be frustrating at times. Regarding the wheel, like Lee
suggested I would point it out. It doesn't hurt to try. In my experience
dealers make also sorts of claims about why buying from them is so much
better than private party, but they don't do jack to the cars. When my
wife and I were shopping for a 10 year old Honda Odyssey a few years ago
our local Honda dealership wouldn't budge from a retail price despite the
fact that they had put on two cheapo tires that didn't match and they
couldn't prove that the timing belt had been done, but they said they were
"sure" it had been. We went elsewhere.

I expect these guys have next to nothing in the car so I would continue to
squeeze them.
