[s-cars] Coil Substitute?

Paul,

I had that same issue with my spark plug cable cable ... as a temporary fix I wrapped the boot with
Gorilla brand duct tape. Eliminated the miss until I sourced a replacement cable.

Gorilla brand duct tape is readily available at many hardware and home improvement stores.

     Quick followup.  Big
thanks to Mike Sylvester who had a spare coil he
let me borrow!  Turn out it was not the coil,
 but the #5 wire.  Shorting
 right through
the boot at the spark-plug to the valve cover gasket.
Presented just like a bad coil.

     Now I just need to
source a replacement wire from my FLAPS!

     Thanks for all the help!
