Jim: If you clicked on that 7Zap link that I provided you would see that the springs and shocks are related to the engines in the C4 vehicles. (Item 43) 

4A0413031J is the gas-shock (i.e. BOGE turbo gas) made for the AAN in the US UrS6s. 

The C4 A6s got the AAH or AFC V6s and their front shocks are not gas. Their PN is 443413031G (a carry over from the C3 Type 44s). 

These PNs are confirmed with ETKA btw.

As far as the strut insert, it is the same for the A6 as it is for the S6? Is it only the springs that are different then? Just curious...thanks!
