[s-cars] Refinishing Brembo calipers

I've procured a set of Brembo (F50ish) calipers from a D2 S8 to use with RS2 brackets and 323x30 A8 rotors as an upgrade for my UrS4. The calipers have peeling factory clear but seem to be in otherwise in great shape (piston boots still soft/not cracked, no rust, etc) so I'd like to just refinish them "the easy way" if there is such a thing. Looking for suggestions.  Is it as simple as sand prime paint? Never done it before.
