Interstate is one of the most ubiquitous high quality batteries, but even they aren't good enough in my book. Motorcraft (ford) seem to be the best out there currently. Stick with lead acid as AGM batteries require different charging methods and are quite easy to do permanent damage to.

Johnson Controls makes them to the customer specifications so even if a Motorcraft and a Duralast are made in the same building and share the same outer case, you can be certain that the components and the quality control methods differ depending on how much money the brand on the label wanted to spend.
