[s-cars] Looking for a Touareg V8....

Hey all,

Sorry for the continued non-Audi content, but hopefully the VAG enthusiast community can help me find a bit of a unique vehicle.

The time has come for a tow vehicle and through much research, responses and recommendations (and warnings!) from this list and other resources, I have ultimately decided to purchase a 2006-2008 VW Touareg for my future Airstream towing needs.  So, besides all of the usual internet resources (Craigslist, Autotrader, Cars.com, Cargurus, etc.) I’m putting the word out to the general enthusiast community to hopefully find what I’m looking for outside of a used car dealer.  Ultimately I’m looking for:

VW Touareg V8
2008 would be ideal, as it is the second year of the V8 FSI with 350hp and the cosmetic facelift
Will absolutely consider lower mileage and well cared for 2006 and 2007’s (2007 V8’s seem to be very rare.)
Air suspension is a must
Factory Tow package would be preferable, but not a deal killer
Color isn’t crucial, lighter colors are better and would rather not have black, but beggars can’t be choosers
Under 100K would be ideal in all years
Service records and up to date maintenance would be great!
(I wouldn’t turn down a great deal on a ’05-’07 V10 TDI, but I don’t expect that to happen…..)

Timeframe for the transaction would be at the end of the month (house sale closes on the 27th!), I can provide a sizeable deposit to secure the vehicle until then if needed, and will most likely require a pre-purchase inspection on my dime for any serious possibilities.
Distance from Colorado is not an issue, as I have the freedom of travel from the 27th on and purchasing this vehicle is my top priority at that time.  Actually looking forward to time on the road to track this and a proper Airstream down!
