[urq] Strut bearings and sagging susupensions

A discussion of strut bearings a couple of weeks ago has brought to mind a
question that I have never been able to answer.  Why does it seem that I
have never seen an urq that sags in the rear suspension, yet most of the
4000 quattros I see, including mine, have sagged at least an inch in the
back over the years?  I have looked through the microfiche and found that
the part numbers for the rear springs on all three of my cars is the same,
so I can't see the problem being caused by the spring.  I have always
assumed the problem to be in the strut bearings but is there another answer?
