I'll be your accumulator is bad (PN#431 133 441 C).  While it would make
starting difficult and I didn't check pressure, I ended up replacing it when
I discovered it was leaking. Replaced it and problem solved.  I actually
picked up a used one for ~$50.  The accumulator helps to hold pressure in
the system (like when the car is parked overnight).  The check valve is at
the pump.  If it's available separately, it's PN#893 906 093.
