That is true.  The sensors are in a different location.  I posted a similar question/answer.  The question now is - even with the different sensor locations, does the WX still have the same timing signals from its reference sensor as the MC? 

The books indicate they are the same.  I have not compared flywheels, but suspect that the timing pin is located on each flywheel to account for the respective location of the pins.
