I actually made some tie rods for my '83 which have heim inner and Golf
outer joints.
Works perfectly and way cheaper than the Stealer price...

Andrew,
They use to be availble by after market sources who could
get hold of Lemforder parts. As far as I know now they are
dealer only ~$1,000 Cdn for the pair last time I checked.
Nice of Audi to support ur-q owners, the end is the same size
as a mid-80s Golfs, which can be replaced saparately for $15....
