Steve,
I think Todd speaks of the idle stop screw, the one at the bottom and the
back of the throttle body. You know the one that has no head, just a slot
in the threads? It is real fragile as both mine and Brady's were broken
when we tried to adjust it after a TB clean up.
For what I saw, it's just a standard small metric fastener with the head
shaved. It will not be easy to recreate one, unless you have a dremel tool
with a cutting disk. And a magnifier... Then you can just re-slot the
actual broken one in place, and try a second time.

There are a number of folks who have made a replacement hose by getting
the
appropriate bits from Aircraft Spruce ... find the appropriate diameter
here:
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/scat.php
and then reuse the end pieces from the old hose and you've got a solution
for a lot less than Audi asks. Perhaps someone with BTDT can post the
info
to the knowledge base (see the bottom of every list post for a link).
If you are talking about the screw in the throttle body ... yes, it is a
special screw. I can't say I've ever heard of one freezing in place
though.
There is a funky oval sectioned o-ring which seals the screw against the
TB
... when this o-ring hardens the screw tends to self adjust. I've found a
little high temp wheel grease on the threads provides a good seal and
keeps
the screw from getting rattled around ... if your part is seized you may
want to pull the throttle body to see if you can't get some penetrant in
there to loosen it up ...
