i replaced all of the rubber hoses with metal ones.
the pipe from the igloo to the turbo is from a 944
turbo with the rubber elbow at the turbo from a 5000.
from the turbo to the intercooler and from intercooler
to throttle are both pieces from a volvo 740T. i used
the factory rubber hose to make connections and had to
plug a hole on the lowest pipe with a rubber cap. i
used a modified vice grip to get a decent bead on the
ends so the rubber bits won't slide away under boost.
it's been this way for about two years now with no
problems. when it gets a little warmer, i'll try to
neaten it up a bit (maybe get some measurements to use
silicone connectors). the whole metal pipe bits cost
me about $50 from junkyards/e-bay.
