I caught part of it, too. Always cool to see this stuff, however brief.
The reference to homologation was about the fact that cars like the
UrQuattro, Lancia Integrale, Escort Cosworth, etc., exist because FIA and
other rules dictated a minimum production requirement. For the WRC at
least, those rules have changed, and there is no need to offer these
production "specials" any more. The Mitsu Evos and Subaru WRXs exist for
other reasons.
