[urq] Shokan factory replacement exhaust?

If it is an Ansa system, plan on it needing to be replaced about 13 months
after installation, Ansa is GARBAGE. it comes coated in black wrinkle paint
when new, and 13 months later the paint is gone as is the warranty, and the
inlet pipe is rotted out of the muffler. STH more than once

I don't believe any of those companies listed other than ansa ever
offered an exhaust for the urq.  The price is the same as I paid them
for an ansa exhaust last spring. (which I am selling, brand new, coated,
for $150, the one I had at the upg meeting beside my car that people
thought was factory) you would be foolish to pay over $300 (shipping)
for that exhaust when you could get the same for $150+ shipping or $275
for the CAC stainless unit.

Even a local shop should be able to do better for you, but it is very
tight fit w/ lots of bends just make sure they don't restrict the pipe
too much or your performance will noticeably suffer

I used to get Shokan supplied OE-type mufflers for my '84 4000q and
unfortunately they did not last.  Here in CO I had to replace each
section
about every two years...

Has anyone used or seen the Shokan replacement exhaust system for the
urquattro? I spoke with a woman there and they have it in stock, a very
good
price but she says "this is not a performance exhaust". Meaning it's
copied
from the factory original rather then "some of the wild setups on these
cars
nowadays".
Any input would be great. I can have one here in 7 days.
