[urq] How do I test a used Hitachi MAC-02 I just acquired?

I got a used one for $120.  035 905 383B.   Works 'ok'
according to seller.
Sure I could hook it up and see if my car starts (it's
not really registered now, but I could put it back on
the road if I need to see how this ECU handles boost).
 But maybe I should check something first?  I have the
1st  documents (somewhere).  Have multimeters.

The large screw at the the business end looks like it
may have been  some wear - because there are lots of
scratches around the screw head.

Do these have unique serial #s on them.  This one is
2?18,  that second digit is light.
