I'm not an electronic whiz-bang, but why do you want to check your  "dwell"?
This is not a breaker point ignition where gap sets dwell, so I don't think  
you can measure it or set it. The timing and other ignition specs are handled 
by  the ECU and read from the hall sender in the distributor.
 
Or am I all wet? 

The shock tower connector you refer to is for the duty cycle reading, which  
is set/adjusted by the 3mm allan screw buried in between the fuel distributor  
and the intake igloo.
