Procedure that Steven mentioned is sound, but if the bearing only needs
to be replaced, there is no need to disassemble the UJ. In that case (
after marking the two parts clearly for re assembly in exact position),
one places the strong support against the UJ, in my case the tyre lever
that cleans the seals and sits cleanly on UJ body, then loosen the
central bolt and substitute it with longer one that would enable you to
push the shaft out by undoing the bolt. The screw should be long enough,
so when is fully screwed in, it should be just leaning against the
lever. The ring spanner that must be used, should be slipped on before
the supporting leaver is inserted. The re assembly differs, as the bolt
must be shorter, since it pulls the shaft in against existing thick
washer. Original bolt could be used for re assembly, if you manage to
push the shaft enough to reach the screw. Use a thread locker on the bolt.
